Alycea Ungaro Real Pilates New York & Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, NCPT
Patricia took her first Pilates class back in 2015, it was a mat class with no equipment and it was nothing fancy, however the queuing and the hands-on guidance by Rachael Lieck Bryce, teacher trainer for Alycea Ungaro Real Pilates, made the all the difference. As she worked out regularly, she noticed she began to have better posture and her body became more toned and tightened. She continued practicing, and even during her pregnancy Pilates kept her active and toned. Some years later, Patricia completed her 500 hour Real Pilates Teacher training certification through the strenuous and highly regarded Alycea Ungaro Real Pilates Program out of New York. She is 3rd generation instructor of the Romana Kryzanowska lineage and brings her 9 years of Pilates experience to our studio. Patricia is not only thrilled, but proud to teach and preserve the classical Pilates method.
And one of the reasons Patricia was drawn to Century Pilates is that it is is one of the largest collections of classical Pilates equipment available in the country in one studio. This luxury helps her to tailor and customize her private, semi-privates and group classes with the fullest expression of the Pilates method. “It’s incredibly rare to see this Arm Chair or Wunda Chairs together in one spot not to mention the incredibly devoted clientele. It’s been a true pleasure being able to be a team member at Century Pilates.”
Patricia loves music and used to play the saxophone when she was a teenager but nowadays she’s doing her best to self learn the ukulele and piano . Patricia was born in Spain & loves to travel to our great nations national parks. It’s one of her favorite destinations followed by any coastal place. She has visited more than 20 states within the United States of America and several countries on four continents. Asia is still on her bucket list and at the moment, South Africa would be her best liked stopping place. Patricia is a globetrotter and used to live in the United Kingdom too, and enjoyed that experience, but prefers the Texas heat over the cloudy days.
When taking a class from Patricia, she hopes that you appreciate her queuing the little details that make it click in your brain. This is her true specialty. She hopes you ignite a passion in finding new challenges even with the same exercises in carry an “I DID IT”, feeling with you for the rest of the day.
