Century Pilates Instructor Training, Club Pilates
In 2020, I found myself unable to return to more traditional workout venues and stumbled on an online Pilates class that was mat-focused. As I participated more and more online, I got curious about trying out the equipment and in the beginning of 2021 I took an intro class with Club Pilates. From that first day, I was hooked, immediately drawn to the idea of helping people feel good again, and I knew then that I wanted to follow it as my career path. Throughout my early life, I grew up with a consistent focus on playing sports, including gymnastics, soccer, cross country and even two years of dance in high school, but none of this compared to how Pilates made my body feel while exercising. I have pretty consistently had daily exercise and strength training routines, but Pilates has unlocked a new level of flexibility, strength, endurance, balance, confidence, mind body connection, and so much more for me.
Physically, I can see the results of Pilates while strength training as it has allowed me to lift heavier weights than I ever thought possible. But in addition to the physical and endurance improvements, Pilates has allowed me to improve my mental health by encouraging me to create a bigger appreciation for the small things in my life, giving me the confidence – not only as a practice but as a Pilates instructor as well – to not be afraid to step out of my comfort zone, and to always push myself to try out things I may not be so good at (yet). It was this internal push that brought me to Century Pilates, and my quest for creating a bigger appreciation for what Pilates is able to do for a person’s mind, body and soul. Ready to take my practice to the next level, I am currently enrolled at Century to complete my Classical Bridge Training Program (consisting of 600 hours of observation, self-teaching, self-practice, teaching, etc.), and I am fully confident that Century is the right fit to help me level up my practice as a Pilates instructor.
When I am not here at Century Pilates, I am a full-time Pilates instructor for Club Pilates, where I teach a series of beginner and advanced classes in their Coppell, Las Colinas, and Colleyville locations. I am extremely appreciative of the fact that through Pilates, I get to do what I love as career – and this is one of my biggest blessings in life. I have completed the Comprehensive Training Program (500 hours) through Club Pilates, specializing in mat, reformer/jump-board, springboard/tower, Cadillac, ladder barrel, spine corrector, TRX, and fundamentals of trigger point.
When I’m not teaching Pilates, you can find me at home with my boyfriend Keith and our fur baby Kobe, or strength training at the gym, taking walks outside and hiking when I can.
Things that most people don’t know about me: I’m a twin, I was born in Venezuela, I was a full-time bartender at the Dallas-famous Rodeo Goat Burgers before launching my career as a full time Pilates instructor.
What I hope people take from taking my class: that my clients learn to create and grow their mind body connection – Pilates is an incredible way for clients to get to know their body, learn to listen to themselves and create confidence within.
