Cat Agee was first comprehensively certified through Club Pilates 500 hour training program in 2017. Soon after Cat, decided to level up her Pilates education by pursuing another 500 hour certification with the prestigious, Rael Isacowitz’ BASI Pilates, Body Arts and Science International®, out of California in early 2020. She is currently working towards her goal of becoming a 4th generation classical Pilates instructor through Emily Urbanosky Wills, 600 hour CPIT Program. Cat has a passion for Pilates and prides herself in always seeking to master the the lifelong art of Contrology. She aims to teach her students how to move effectively and functionally to achieve the best results possible, whether they are recovering from an injury or taking their fitness to the next level.
Cats first Pilates classes in Las Vegas in 2015 as well as her first barre class. It was hot Pilates and the room was packed in tight at 105°. She was was hooked and discovered the Reformer not long after that. She decided almost immediately that she wanted to teach in practice Pilates for the rest of her life. Cat initially just love the atmosphere and the bragging rights to say, “I do Pilates” but then she really began to realize the way Pilates uniformly conditioned the entire body followed up by the incredible sense of wellbeing you achieve after class. Who wouldn’t want to leave the studio with the balance in their step in a smile on their face?
After having her baby boy, Jack, Cats body was different. She had to practice Pilates in its basic truest form in order to regain her former strength. In her words, ” I am so thankful that I had the knowledge to do that because I don’t think that any other form of fitness could help me get back to my pre-baby body like Pilates did. Pilates just makes sense to me. It can be practiced in every stage of your life no matter what’s going on. It gives you everything you really need in a full class. Classical Pilates is the heart and soul of Pilates and was designed for results, and Century Pilates felt welcoming and eager to teach me the method without judgment. Taking my education to the next level has always been a priority, and I’m always eager to learn and experience more.”
Cat is a full-time mama, especially now, while her husband is deployed, but teaching Pilates is her passion and career and she absolutely loves it. Cat has been married since 2021 and her husband is in the Army. Cat is looking forward to their next seven years in the service, and the surprises and gypsy lifestyle of moving around until they can, at last, settle down (if they even want to.) Aside from sharing their beautiful son Jack the have, a senior citizen dog named, Otter, who has been with Cat since she was 16.
Cat loves to ride her bike and unfortunately binge watch bravo TV. She and her son spend a lot of time outside whether biking, hiking swimming or playing at the creek. Before Teaching Pilates, Cat was a hairdresser for just about a decade. It was a fun time, but she doesn’t miss it.
When you take a class with Cat she hopes that she helps people learn the basics of Pilates and how to execute the most simple of exercises properly, and effectively to make them stronger than they have ever been, and more than capable of doing advanced moves .
